Clean by David Erlewine
Even more than napping, he loves waking. Often it takes two, sometimes three, minutes to remember his troubles. He keeps the door locked, in case his wife or son get any ideas to take this from him. Sometimes they knock, hard. With both fans on high, he can barely hear.
David Erlewine's work can be found at http://whizbyfiction.blogspot.com. He loves Tim O'Brien's "The Things They Carried," especially the Norman Bowker parts.
