Gunpoint by David Meuel

I empty my pockets for the anxious, cursing man. He tightens his grip around that little steel executioner. His finger, glazed with sweat, hugs the trigger’s narrow fang. My life or death is just the matter of a squeeze. But I’m not scared, because it all seems like a movie.

David Meuel has published more than 100 poems, a dozen short stories, and numerous articles about subjects ranging from marketing communications to video games. He lives in San Jose, California, where he spends far too much time fretting about climate change.
