Man's Best Friend by James C. Clar
I killed three more last night. Since we moved in they've come from the old graveyard out back. They're after the kids.
“Barney reeks again this morning, honey. There must be a dead animal somewhere.”
“Don't let him into the house. We'll put him on his chain tonight.”
Bad idea!

James C. Clar teaches and writes in upstate New York. His work has been published in print and on the Internet. He doesn't own a dog; maybe he should think about getting one?
