Watching by Bill West
Strangers live here now. They are nothing to me but I wish no hurt. They shiver as I pass, shudder at my shadow on the stairs or whisper when the curtains billow. What harm to peer down the garden path, listening for the iron gate, still watching for your return?

Bill West lives in Shropshire, UK. He's been writing flash since 2004 and beginning to get the hang of it. He likes to write short as he gets tired easily. He recently had a six worder published in a book, Six-Word Memoirs. He had to lie down after that one.
