Dog by Timothy Raymond

Outside my building is a shopping cart. I am the first to find it. I push it up one side of the street feeling grand, just until I see a dog running wild on the other side of the street.
And then I leave the cart and chase that instead.

Timothy Raymond grew up in southeastern Wyoming. Currently he studies contemporary American literature at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he also teaches writing. He writes stories often, but has only recently begun to submit for publication—you can read his work here: traymond-birds.blogspot.com.
