Monday Morning by Michelle King

This early, there are more birds about than cars. Some go for traditional warbling, while others whistle. One shrieks 'woo hoo!' with totally unjustified enthusiasm. Another -- a large crow in the school playground is prime suspect -- responds with a single loud raspberry. I'm on the crow's side for sure.

Michelle King lives in England with her husband and stuffed penguin. She has written for fun all her life but only just started trying to publish. Her flash fiction has recently appeared online at MicroHorror.
