Anticipation by Kelly Whitley

Moira sat at the diner counter, nursing a stale donut, a bottomless cup of coffee and a black eye.

The cops would find Rex soon enough and her soon thereafter.

She picked at spatters of his blood on the pink field of her dress.

Might as well have another cup.

Kelly Whitley has been writing long pieces for years, and enjoys the art of flash.
